Product Overview

"This stuff is amazing! I've been using it together with the herb shampoo on my very tangly hair and it is a dream. I only use the tiniest amount and the brush glides through. It is also great for dry skin patches. Because you only use such a tiny amount, I can see it lasting for ages." Emma, Odylique Customer

Providing intense hydration for very dry skin and skin prone to eczema, Ultra Rich Balm supports the skin’s natural barrier function and helps protect it from the drying effects of heat, cold and wind, without blocking pores.

Apply anywhere on the body, and sparingly on the face, as a dry, flaky skin moisturiser. It’s also as an excellent intensive treatment for dry hair ends and cracked heels. Great when ski-ing, or to protect ultra-sensitive skin from chlorinated pools.

If you suffer from eczema or any other allergy, please see our Five Tips for Treating Eczema-Prone Skin.

    Ultra rich...

Posted by Margaret Booth on 8th Jul 2020

This is a treat to use and makes me feel pampered.
My dry sensitive skin eats it up and I use it all over.
I put too much on my hair the first few times I used it but now I use a very little and it works really well for dry ends.

    Amazing stuff

Posted by Vicki on 6th Jun 2020

I keep a big pot of this because it is so useful for all dry skin problems. A little goes a long way. I initially bought it when I had a very dry, irritated scalp, with patches of eczema. In combination with the herb Odylique shampoo it completely cleared up my scalp problem in a couple of weeks.
I now use the balm for any dry skin and for skin irritation outbreaks and regularly on my hands and feet. It has been particularly good with all the hand-washing needed during this Covid 19 outbreak: I massage it into my hands and cuticles every night and it revives them and they are smooth and hydrated by the morning. I get eczema in my ears and when it flares up I rub a very tiny amount around the outer ear and that is enough to sooth it and completely calm it down.
A really excellent balm. Highly recommended.

Fabulous, Ultra Rich Balm - exceptionally moisturising

Posted by SallyW on 27th May 2020

Great little pot of gold to keep for a whole range of dry skin issues. I use it on my scalp every so often if it gets dried out due to hormonal changes. I just massage a little at the hairline and it does the trick. An excellent, well worth the money saviour in a pot. Highly recommended - a little goes a long way and you can use it on any areas of dry skin - heels, elbows, cuticles...

    Versatile and deeply moisturising

Posted by Amanda on 10th Apr 2020

I absolutely adore this balm which I use as an evening moisturiser. It deeply nourishes my skin and Iʼm often amazed at how I wake up looking like a baby in the morning!! A slight exaggeration but it has genuinely worked wonders on my wrinkles! This product is really versatile; I also use it as a hair balm. I have very fine hair which needs a lot of taming and this product works a treat! I use it on towelled dried hair before blow drying and also on dry hair to tame fly away hairs. A-mazing!

A true multipurpose moisturising balm, non-irritating and natural. A little goes a long way making it good value.

I really like this product because of its all natural, simplicity. This balm is very rich in that a little goes a long way. I have used the balm daily, on my face morning and night over the past month and I have very oily skin naturally. I have also used it on my face, neck, décolletage, backs of my hands and some dry patches on my arms. I have not had any bad reactions or irritation from the balm (nor any acne breakouts aside from the occassional monthly spots I always get). When left on overnight the balm has absorbed by morning just leaving soft skin. You can wear make up on top of this balm but just need to give it time to sink in first as when it first goes on it looks super oily on the face (at least on my face) but donʼt worry because it does absorb within 5 minutes and by 10 minutes the initial shiny oiliness has gone. I originally bought this when researching for products to help with my irritated scalp. After around one month of use I know that it will be safe to use on my scalp. Having fine, naturally oily hair I wouldnʼt put it on everyday, nor during the day as it is oily in appearance for me. I plan to use it the night before I wash my hair as an overnight scalp mask of sorts. I have used it on the ends of my hair and it does a good job on moisturising the ends, just use a little and work up from there depending on the thickness of your hair as like I said a little goes a long way.

a little goes a long way

Posted by Karin on 30th Jan 2020

Itʼs easy to apply - and seems very effective. I find it a little grainy, which is why I donʼt give it the full 5 stars. I do wonder what makes it grainy.... perhaps they will advise?

Odylique Response: Because of the natural ingredients inside our Ultra Rich Balm sometimes grains appear, this is mostly due to the temperature that the product is left in. But there is no need to worry, the grains will disperse onto your skin once applied!

    Wish this was vegan

Posted by Emily on 30th Dec 2019

I received a sample of this product (despite always asking for vegan friendly) so I used it. it was so rich, so healing on my skin. I reallyyyyyyyyy really want to purchase some as it really was amazing, any chance of making this without the animal ingredient?

Does what it says on the tin

Posted by Katie M on 12th Dec 2019

I use this as conditioner on my hair, when needed. Plus for dry skin. It’s rich, spreads well and smells of very little (in a good way). I bought the larger pot and it is lasting forever. Highly recommended.

    Ultra rich indeed

Posted by Eve on 29th Nov 2019

My friend got this for me as a present as I kept talking about it but wasnʼt sure if it was worth the price. I wanted it for my hair, but found that itʼs a bit greasy for my fine hair. However Iʼve been using it as a lip balm and to soothe my itchy sensitive skin and it works well

    FANTASTIC FOR HAIR ENDS

Posted by Matthew on 23rd Nov 2019

I tried some on my hair ends, with my hair dry, and it was perfect. Sometimes I use Lux from France which smells divine, but has so many ingredients which are ultimately drying, and coconut oil is a bit difficult to control and gets too greasy, so I am glad I finally found something that can calm the dry ends (esp to use with the flat iron or curling iron to shape the ends it was fine for that too), and not make them too greasy, condition them, and also ultimately NOT dry it out like Nuxe. thank you.
